In the initial phase constructing a WLAN, the NWA3550-N can be configured as a fully functional standalone AP; with more APs installed, the NWA3550-N can be set to the WLAN controller mode to manage the rest of APs. The scalability is able to manage up to 24 APs and it is also suitable for companies with a staff of 300-500.

In order to eliminate complicated configuration and installation processes, the NWA3550-N AP provides a variety of features to allow quick network deployments. All ranges of NWA3000-N Series APs comes with standard 802.3af or 802.3at PoE support that enables the APs to utilize the existing cabling and receive power from PoE switches. Once installed and powered up, the NWA3550-N AP automatically discovers the controller AP and join the management group; and secure automatic provisioning is established between the controller AP and the managed APs effortlessly.
